Professor Zaheer-Ud-Din Babar, Ph.D.
Organizing Chair and Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice

It is a great pleasure to welcome participants to the 4th Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice (JoPPP) 2025 Conference, Thailand (The 4th JoPPP-Thailand 2025).

Research on pharmaceutical policy and practice addresses critical issues related to medicine regulation, access to medications, optimization, utilization, and overall medicine use. It also explores important questions, such as how and why individuals access pharmacy services, the costs associated with pharmaceutical care, and the outcomes for patients who utilize these services.

Conducting thorough research in pharmaceutical policy can yield significant benefits for both medicine utilization and resource allocation. Publishing this research in high-impact venues is essential for translating findings into practical policy benefits.

The Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice (JoPPP) fulfils this need, and materials from the conference will be published in a special supplement of the journal.

The conference aims to highlight the latest evidence-based research in pharmaceutical policy, both locally and globally. It will also cover updates on medicine access, utilization, optimization, and ongoing research in pharmaceutical policy. Building on the success of previous conferences, we hope this event will foster global and regional networks related to clinical pharmacy, professional practice, and the social, behavioural, and administrative aspects of pharmacy.

We look forward to these important discussions and to seeing you in Bangkok.

Warm regards

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great honor and privilege to welcome you to the 4th Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice (JoPPP) 2025 Conference, Thailand. The 4th JoPPP-Thailand 2025 is hosted by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahasarakham University, in collaboration with Rangsit University, Thammasat University, and JoPPP as co-hosts. This event brings together pharmacists, healthcare professionals, academics, and researchers from around the globe to engage in insightful discussions and share groundbreaking research in pharmaceutical policy and practice.

The theme of this year’s conference, “Pharmacy Policy & Practice Strategies: Shaping the Future of Healthcare,” reflects the dynamic and evolving nature of our field. Together, we aim to explore innovative approaches to address the pressing challenges of modern healthcare while envisioning a future where pharmaceutical practices drive equitable and efficient healthcare systems worldwide.

We are particularly thrilled to feature three plenary lecture sections that highlight pivotal aspects of the future of pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. These include:
1. Global Trends in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare - a comprehensive look at emerging trends that are redefining the healthcare landscape.
2. Precision Medicine - delving into the innovations in personalized healthcare strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
3. Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare - exploring the transformative potential of AI in improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

In addition to the plenary sessions, we warmly invite participants to contribute to the conference by presenting their research through oral and poster presentations. These sessions provide an excellent platform for sharing innovative findings, fostering academic dialogue, and exchanging ideas that drive progress in pharmaceutical policy and practice.

The vibrant city of Bangkok and its suburbs serves as the perfect backdrop for our conference. Known for its rich culture, hospitality, and culinary delights, Bangkok offers a unique setting to inspire intellectual exchanges and professional networking. We have also arranged opportunities to connect and recharge, including three lunches, five refreshment breaks with coffee and tea, and a memorable welcome dinner to foster collaboration in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

This conference represents not just a gathering of professionals but a community united by a shared commitment to advancing pharmaceutical policy and practice. Your participation and contributions are invaluable, as they help shape the discussions that will lead to innovative strategies and impactful solutions in healthcare. I invite you to immerse yourselves in the vibrant sessions, engage with fellow attendees, and take this opportunity to learn, share, and grow together.
